On 13 May 2010, in the municipality of Cēsis Region was presented the strategy for the new-formed Vidzeme Business Innovations Centre (VBIC). It is intended that from year 2011 the VBIC will include Departments of Information, Demonstration and Training, and the plans for further future foresee development of Technology Department in supplementary premises.

The VBIC will significantly broaden the range of education and business promotion services in Cēsis and Vidzeme Region. This strategy intends for close collaboration with the Business Incubator in Cēsis and companies in Vidzeme Region.

The strategy has been developed by specialists of the foundation Ventspils Augsto tehnoloģiju parks (Ventspils High Technology Park), the association Business Incubator in Cēsis and IC solutions ltd., as well as the administration of the VBIC project.

The project Vidzemes inovāciju un uzņēmējdarbības centrs (Vidzeme Business Innovations Centre) (No. LV0059) has received support from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian financing instruments.
