The company Digital Media Agency ltd. from the VHTP Business Incubator together with students from Ventspils High Technology Park for the first time took part in the international marketing competition Google Online Marketing Challenge 2010. The competition was held for the third year in succession, and up to now no Latvian higher educational establishments have been represented there.

On 2009, in Google Online Marketing Challenge 2009 participated more than 10,000 students, representing 2,187 teams from 57 countries.

The competition is targeted on practical application of Google Adwords, one of Google’s internet marketing tools, by managing an internet marketing campaign of a real company for 3 weeks. Higher educational establishments and students do not have to pay the participation fee in this competition, whereas Google grants budget of $200 to each team to develop a marketing campaign with help of the tool Google Adwords.
